Overview

This position will lead the organization in analyzing and making pricing decisions.  Keys to success in this role include multitasking, working in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, strong financial and organizational skills, strategic thinking and the ability to work well with others.  A primary focus of this role will be to provide pricing recommendations to Sales and Business Development and manage customer sales agreements.  This role will also manage the creation of customer pricing letters and aid Accounting and Commercial teams on margin analysis. The Pricing Analyst will be part of the Commercial team reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing and will interact with Accounting, Customer Service, R&D and Purchasing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tactical pricing recommendations to Sales utilizing data collected from AX/PV
  • Create and maintain formal customer pricing letters and maintain accurate repository system.
  • Enter customer contract agreements into AX (Synergy’s ERP system)
  • Track and report volume, margin performance against customer pricing and contract agreements
  • Interface with Customer Service to ensure correct pricing is in place for customer orders/confirmations and help resolve any customer issues related to pricing.
  • Primary contact for the Sales organization on pricing related matters such as customer productivity demands, customer profitability analysis and rebate programs
  • Provide support to Business Development, Sales Director and Sales team in determining Strategic pricing initiatives and pricing campaigns including data mining, analysis and margin increase requirements or loss mitigation recommendations
  • Generate regular reports for Business Development, Sales and VP of Sales/Marketing on Gross Margin analysis and performance.
  • Collect data from various systems to analyze customer purchasing patterns, model impact of raw material cost variances, and develop pricing models for Commercial team as required
  • Support Purchasing, Finance and Commercial team in determining certain and specific raw material demand as needed

Qualifications

  • BS / BA in Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of Finance, Accounting or business experience with an emphasis in Cost Accounting, Sales analysis, Finance or Pricing/Margin management
  • Solid Microsoft Suite experience is a must with strong emphasis in EXCEL and data base management
  • Candidate should be detail-oriented, have solid analytical skills, a good communicator, ability to work cross functionally, excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
