    The Plant Controller will manage the plant financial and cost accounting activates for the Hamilton, Ohio location.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and oversee the plant cost accounting activities
    • Prepare annual operating plan for the plant.
    • Prepares weekly sales flash and updates plant sales forecast.
    • Analyzes sales and gross margin data.
    • Implements cost control procedures and provides supervision over cost systems and methods.
    • Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, fixed assets, A/R
    • Perform the monthly closing activities.
    • Manages the preparation of periodic financial statements for plant and develops and/or prepares appropriate operating reports.
    • Reviews financial statements with executive and plant management team
    • Monitors inventory in order to identify excess quantities and provide early warning for items approaching end of life.
    • Prepares cost analysis for capital projects
    • Development and maintenance of standard costs, labor and overhead rates.
    • Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management
    • Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers
    • Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
    • Oversee local internal control environment.
    • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
    • Coordinates preparation of external and internal audit materials.
    • Manage 1-2 direct reports

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance required, CPA a plus
    • 5+ years' experience with proven successful assumption of similar responsibilities in a manufacturing company.
    • Knowledge of accounting and reporting systems (MS Dynamics AX, SAP, etc.)
    • Experience managing direct reports
    • Strong understanding of business processes in a manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated background managing an environment that requires a high sense of urgency, strong results orientation, tight time frames, budgeting experience and solid understanding of practices and procedures in an international environment
    • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
    • Flexible – able to plan for contingencies and know when to invoke them.
    • Strong organizational skills. High level of personal discipline.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical teams.
