    This position requires an individual that can multitask and works well in a fast paced environment.  This individual must have solid financial accuracy, payroll experience with ADP experience being a plus. This individual must display ownership of the process, have solid work ethic and team focus.  Key to success in this role is accuracy, excellent communication skills with the ability to handle ongoing request deadlines.  Once proficiency with the weekly payroll process is achieved this person will be given more responsibilities within the department including those listed below.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the weekly payroll process which includes reaching out to Team Leaders and Managers to resolve timecard errors and omissions.
    • Release the payroll from processing by the weekly cutoff times and work with ADP to make certain that delivery occurs on a timely basis.
    • Reconcile weekly payroll and translate that result into a file to be uploaded into the general ledger system.
    • Substantiate payroll information by auditing documents, identifying needed adjustments and implementing needed changes within ADP.
    • Create a reporting environment from ADP that supports all department’s daily and ongoing organizational needs.
    • Add employee payroll information & change employee information as forwarded from Human Resources.
    • Work to support payroll data requests from external governmental organizations for audits, wage requests and worker’s compensation analysis.
    • Work with the Benefit side of ADP to add employee benefit information and changes.
    • Develop a weekly recap of payroll process and secure approval for audit compliance.
    • Input 401K, Roth and other related inputs into the 401K providers system on a weekly basis.
    • Develop reports from ADP to support ongoing initiatives including budgeting, reporting and analysis.
    • Manage year over year changes within ADP for employee vacation & sick time tracking.
    • Manage input of annual bonus and profit sharing into ADP.
    • Help develop & document payroll process and controls.
    • Work to discover and implement system and process improvements and easier ways to process payroll.
    • Serve as back up for vacationing team members and in support of cross training.
    • Lead the effort of the annual financial audit through working with external auditors and supplying requested information.
    • Vacation coverage and other department duties as time permits.

     

    Qualifications

    • BS / BA in Finance or Accounting
    • 3+ years of Payroll processing and reporting skills
    • Attention to detail, deadline-oriented and highly confidential
    • Quickly and easily learns system processes, time management, data entry management, solid math skills.
    • Solid Microsoft Suite experience is a plus with emphasis in EXCEL.
