This position requires an individual that can multitask and works well in a fast paced environment. This individual must have solid financial accuracy, payroll experience with ADP experience being a plus. This individual must display ownership of the process, have solid work ethic and team focus. Contributes to a global marketing community of practice to ensure Synergy marketing efforts are succinct, unified and collaborative in support of global and regional business tactics.
The Synergy Project Manager is responsible for leading project management activities for key strategic business platforms. The Project Manager is responsible for leading and reporting scope, timing and cost of all project deliverables, as well as monitoring tasks and recommending improvements to processes and procedures. This role requires interaction with a range of stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously with several key leaders. The Project Manager will promote coordination and communication of the team as well as work closely together with the platform leaders to establish key milestones, timing requirements, and performance targets. The Project Manager will assess issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time completion.
The Packaging Operator is responsible for final packaging flavors (powders, spray dry, liquids, emulsions and extracts) according to directions on each batch ticket. This role is to work closely with the Batch Processors to package batches with food safety, quality, efficiency and accuracy priorities. This role may operate machinery such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks. Must have the ability to read labels and follow safety procedures. The role is responsible for packaging the correct finished product quantity with the correct label requirements.
This position is responsible for compounding in a flavors manufacturing facility. Compounders operate machinery that mixes and grinds raw materials to produce compounds. They must follow standard instructions to measure or weigh dyes, chemicals, and other substances into the machinery. They must check for consistency in various batches and measure the viscosity of the mixtures. Often they are required to take samples of the compound and turn them over to a laboratory for testing. They must follow sanitation guidelines thoroughly when cleaning machinery. They have the task of filling out paperwork about the compound batches.
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales within his / her defined territory or roster of accounts. This position, based in Wauconda, will increase sales for existing smaller revenue accounts through relationship-based selling, act upon leads, and vet prospects to develop new sales opportunities. Position will coordinate fulfillment of international affiliates requests and administer the inquiries received from defined international brokers. Applicants must have the ability to fluently speak and understand both English and Spanish.
The Research Scientist’s primary responsibility will be to perform analytical chemistry testing of volatile and non-volatile components in foods, beverages, flavors, extracts and essences, in addition to developing and validating methods for testing thereof. The role will support various cross functional departments within the company by providing technical leadership to Research & Development, Quality Control and Operations. The Research Scientist will also have the opportunity to perform his/her own benchtop research in areas such as distillation, extraction, filtration and concentration of horticultural products. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of advanced analytical chemistry techniques used in the food and flavor industry and will involve collaboration with international colleagues.
