The individual will lead strategic sourcing activities for assigned categories delivering improved network efficiencies, productivity savings, improving cash flow and meeting quality/service expectations across all business areas. The Category Manager will work collaboratively with all Synergy North America manufacturing sites for assigned categories. Works closely with internal stakeholders to manage overall business relationships and strategies with key suppliers. Leads Procurement category projects and represents Procurement on cross-functional teams, related projects and other key initiatives. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Synergy Flavors Policies & Controls. This individual will have relevant experience in the consumer packaged goods, food or food ingredient manufacturing industries. Primary commodity categories under management will include coffee, tea, agricultural ingredients, food chemicals, packaging.
This position will develop, validate, and execute analytical chemical analysis/laboratory testing of ingredients, in-process materials, finished products and stability materials. This role interacts routinely with our Flavor Creation group to develop novel and winning flavors for the food, beverage and nutrition industry segments. This role also is a key component of Synergy’s Research function and has responsibilities to support the Quality function as well as our Hamilton, OH and Brazil businesses. The selected candidate will work within our Analytical Chemistry team based in our Chicago-area headquarters. Key responsibilities include technical excellence around the development of methods, laboratory instrumentation and maintenance, application of expertise to both routine and novel challenges, and creative/intellectual input into the flavor and product development process. The Accountant II is responsible for providing general accounting support to various levels of management within the company. The Accountant II will provide timely analysis for balance sheet accounts. They will also provide backup support for other Accounting staff.
The QC Supervisor will be responsible for supporting all quality control functions. They will oversee the daily operations of the Quality Control lab; perform a broad range of complex, analytical, chemical, sensorial, and physical tests and ensure safety, quality, and service.
